The new Tim Holtz fabric is awesome! I whipped up a raggedy teddy this morning and had a blast. This is an original design I made years ago and felt the need to revisit it today. It's just a baby bear measuring about nine inches. I stained the edges with Tim's distress inks and used his pin to attach it to a loop for hanging. I think it's adorable in any position but especially love the dangle look. This is a fun easy quick lil' bear to make and stuff in your Christmas stocking and give away as gifts. Hope you like and make a few yourself.
Here's my pattern as a gift to you.

"Life Goes On" and so does my ART
Mixed media canvas. I used an old cabinet card copy of a little girl. I made the blue flowers form a technique I learned form a GF, OzGran Jenny, she has a blog and Ustream live show at: check her out...I love making these in all kinds of fabrics.
This is a canvas with dominos made at my dearest GF Martha's (her design) during the Ustream Marathon 2012/13 in her new "Playhouse" What a fabulous time I had along with the other gals including Nancy and others who where there taking this class. Here's Martha's blog (she also does Ustream and just Google Seekingforart and you will be amazed at her talents and creativity.
This was soooo much fun for me to make. It's GF Johnna's design, a vintage travel trailer "Scotty". I did not attend the live Ustrem class for this or use her template, but when I found out about it I went "bonkers" and made it straight away! This is her and sister Darcie's blog...these gals are just so much fun and together they just blow you away with there talents and laughter...and a bit of sisterly love. Check them out, there's a new LIVE show coming at the end of March you don't want to miss with a supply list and "play" along show...I'll be there.
Here's a project that I so enjoyed making and it's a giftie for a GF. Jim The Gentleman Crafter is just too much fun to join in on his Ustream show and just die laughing and have a blast. Here's is blog and Ustream links...you have to come and play along with him....you won't be sorry 'cause his talents are fantastic and he generously shares the tricks and tips of creating.
Here are some mini books I made recently...gifts and to take on my trip coming up in April for an Art Retreat in Austin Texas...YAY! I have lots of art made to share and i'm also giving a free "make and take" for the gang.
Here's the hostess' blog. If you live in the area or want to come she has the details on her blog TY TY TY BREN!
Check it out...she also has live art to show and share on Ustream...she's AWESOME!
More Jenny style flowers...I soooo love making these simple but elegant flowers.
So, in closing hope you all enjoyed my latest projects and know that "LIFE GOES ON".

Tim Holtz inspired March Tag
This tag was inspired by the Rock Star of Art, Tim Holtz, my hero...he keeps me on my toes trying to inspire him as well. I LOVE what he makes but need to push myself to create a tag of my own design using his products. I always learn something new with the tutorials and techniques for the months themed tag and put it in my arsenal (yes, my brain is a dangerous place at times)for future "play time".
I've been busy making tags for the past few day. I even made the next one on Ustream live with my gang...so much fun and to get their input and ideas makes the fun all the better...thank you my friends!!!
And....one more...I like the number 3 and "things" in threes, right?
The pictures don't capture the sparkle of the Rock Candy dry glitter on all of them...but oh yeah!!, it's there and I dig it.
Thanks for taking a peek...Peace and Love

It's About Time
Yes, I need to get back to my Baby~Blog...po' thing has been neglected for almost a year now. I've had life changing incidents that are mostly to blame for the absence. I'm now a "proxy momma" to my 21 year old niece Leslie and it's been a challenge since August to say the least dealing and managing her many disabilities. We are now getting these things under control and moving forward in a positive way.
My beloved husband became ill just a few weeks after Leslie was taken in to live with us. He fought a long brave fight for his life after a surgery that went horribly wrong with many complications after removing a 10 inch section of his small intestine. Two surgeries in two days, two days later a heart attack and then back on a ventilator. He survived longer then any doctor had expected and truthfully the hardest thing was seeing him in pain and suffering for a little more then two months. He was laid to rest on November the 1st, All Saints Day (my request) just after hurricane Sandy and we were fortunate and blessed to have the Military service he deserved.
Thank you to my dear girlfriends for all their support through a most difficult time...I wouldn't have survived without them...especially Martha (SeekingForArt)who went above and beyond with her gentle but strong guidance and words that only can come from the heart....so many and more then I can mention here now for fear of omitting someone and hurting their feelings...you all know who you are and what it means "to be there" for a sister in need.
Well, on with the ART already Dar...and as Husband Deogracias "Dickie" would say, quote, "Life goes on"....doing my best to make him proud.
What seems ironic is my GF Martha told me my last post was on the exact same flowers I'm going to post this evening for the TIM HOLTZ Tattered Flower challenge...she said just post the old pictures and we laughed. I made this tag and dig the end results and got a kick out of how much the little green flowers reminded me of BRUSSELS-SPROUTS...I got the technique given to us from a talented gal named Jess on her show.
